Dachshund wintercoat made for your Dachshund. Neoprene is a waterproof and windproof material on itself, but is also breathable at the same time. This wintercoat has a neorpen outside and fleece inside for extra warmth. The collar in this Dachshund wintercoat gives your Dachshund extra warmth in the neck, which your Dachshund can wear both upright and turned back.
As the name suggests, this Dachshund wintercoat is suitable for winter. It is a complete wintercoat for wire-haired, long-haired and short-haired Dachshunds. Although we mainly recommend this coat for short-haired and long-haired Dachshunds in winter, it is also suitable for wired-haired Dachshunds with little or fluffy undercoat. Does your wirehaired Dachshund have a thick undercoat and is it not chilly? Then choose the
neoprene raincoat as an extra layer. The fleece-lined neoprene coat can sometimes be too warm for them.
All of our Dachshund coats, including this Dachshund wintercoat, are handmade by Eleonora from Italy. This means that our Dachshund coats do not come in large quantities. After years of trying, we have finally found the perfect 'Dachshund fit' together. This wintercoat has an extra long fit on the back and protects the lungs and abdomen with a large flap. The coat has Velcro on the chest and under the abdomen and is very easy to put on. Once you have chosen the right size based on the measurement advice below, you can adjust this coat with the Velcro to the body of your Dachshund.
This Dachshund wintercoat has a hole for a harness. This means that a harness can be worn under this coat, provided it is a harness that falls further on the back. Harness models other than Y or H harnesses do not fit under this raincoat because the whole does not match. Looking for a harness that always fits underneath?

Neck: measure around the neck and shoulders, where a collar would be
Chest: measure around the chest, about two fingers behind the front legs
Back: measure the back length from shoulder blade to base of the tail

Maintenance instructions
To ensure a long lifespan, wash the coat as little as possible. If it gets dirty, let the dirt dry and brush it off. The coat can be washed at a maximum of 30°C. Since neoprene is naturally waterproof, this waterproof layer cannot be “washed away.” Allow the coat to air dry and avoid using a washing machine.
