This coat is made of 100% wool in a beautiful houndstooth pattern. It's the perfect lightweight coat to keep your Dachshund dry. This extra layer keeps them dry while providing some warmth. The collar on this wool Dachshund coat gives your Dachshund extra warmth around the neck.
In winter, this wool in-between coat is ideal for wire-haired Dachshunds and those with a thick undercoat. The same goes for long-haired Dachshunds. If your Dachshund already has a thick undercoat, this single-layer wool coat provides just the right amount of extra warmth. If your Dachshund doesn't have a thick undercoat—like a short-haired one or a wire-haired Dachshund with a fluffy undercoat—you can combine this wool coat with a neoprene raincoat. The waterproof raincoat will keep your Dachshund dry, and by layering the two, it instantly becomes a winter coat.

All of our Dachshund coats are handmade by Eleonora from Italy, meaning they are not produced in large quantities. After years of trial and error, we’ve finally perfected the 'Dachshund fit' together. This wool Dachshund coat is long on the back, protecting the lungs and belly with a large flap. It features Velcro closures on the chest and under the belly, making it very easy to put on. Once you’ve chosen the right size using the measurement guide below, you can adjust the coat to fit your Dachshund perfectly using the Velcro.
This coat does not have an opening for a harness. This means that a harness can be worn over the coat, as long as it sits further back on the body. Neck: measure around the neck and shoulders, where a collar would be
Chest: measure around the chest, about two fingers behind the front legs

Maintenance instructions
For a long life, wash the coat as little as possible. If the coat gets dirty, let the dirt dry and brush it off. The coat can be washed on the wool program, preferably with a wool detergent, at a maximum of 30°C. Allow to air dry and do not wash it in the washing machine.
