This
Dachshund coat, made of 100%
wool, is super chic! The soft appearance of wool in combination with the houndstooth pattern gives your Dachshund complete 'gentleman (or girl) vibes'. The coat is made of one layer of wool, which makes it suitable as an in-between coat. For example, in the fall or spring for the short-haired Dachshunds, but also for the cold rough- and long-haired Dachshunds. By in-between coat we mean 'between the seasons'. Or do you have a wired-haired Dachshund with a good undercoat and do you still want an extra layer to protect the lungs against the cold? This wool Dachshund coat is also perfect for that!
The Dachshund coat made of wool can also be easily combined with the
fleece coats or
raincoats. If you combine this coat, you have a thicker coat that can function as a winter coat, for example. Wool also has a naturally water-repellent effect. Of course it is not a raincoat, but it certainly keeps moisture out.
All our Dachshund coats are handmade by Eleonora from Italy. This means that our Dachshund coats do not come in large quantities. After years of trying, we have finally found the perfect 'Dachshund fit' together. The Dachshund coat made of wool is extra long on the back and protects the lungs and abdomen with a large flap. The coat has Velcro on the chest and under the abdomen and is very easy to put on. Once you have chosen the right size based on the measurement advice below, you can adjust this coat with the Velcro to the body of your Dachshund.
This Dachshund coat made of wool has no hole in it for a harness. A harness is therefore worn over the coat. Please note: this is only possible with our own
Dachshund harnesses, as they are so adjustable that they can be worn over the coat. Regular harnesses often end up in the armpits. Create extra warmth and complete the look with one of our
turtleneck scarves.
